# Propane Stocks Hit 87.4 Million Barrels, 26% Above Normal

US propane stocks reached **87.4 million barrels** in the week ending June 12, putting the US **26% above the 5-year median** at this point in the build season, according to the EIA Weekly Petroleum Status Report. PADD 3, the Gulf Coast, is carrying the bulk of that surplus at **57.9 million barrels**, up 3% on the week and **38% above the regional 5-year median**. At 768 thousand barrels per day (Mb/d) of average product supplied over the trailing four weeks, US days of supply stand at **114 days**.

- **Mont Belvieu** propane spot settled at **$0.718/gal**, down 8.5% on the week and 10% below the 5-year median, per EIA. The hub price is running well under its historical norm even as primary storage builds well above it.
- **PADD 1C (Lower Atlantic)** is the only region below the 5-year median: stocks at **1.2 million barrels**, 10% under normal, per the EIA Weekly Petroleum Status Report.
- The EIA State Heating Oil and Propane Program weekly price survey is paused for the season; state and regional prices resume in October.
