The Mont Belvieu propane spot settled at **$0.676/gal** this week, down 3.8% on the week and 19% below the 5-year median per EIA. US propane stocks stood at **90.5 million barrels** as of July 3, equivalent to 141 days of supply at a trailing four-week average demand rate of 644 thousand barrels per day (Mb/d), per the EIA Weekly Petroleum Status Report. The surplus is broad: PADD 3, the Gulf Coast, accounts for 56.9 million barrels of that total and sits 32% above the 5-year median.

- **PADD 3, the Gulf Coast:** 56.9 million barrels, 32% above the 5-year median per the EIA WPSR. Stocks drew 3% on the week but the region carries the largest surplus in the country.

- **EIA outlook:** EIA's Short-Term Energy Outlook puts US propane/propylene inventories at 98.5 million barrels at end of December 2026.
