US propane stocks held 81.2 million barrels in the week ended May 22, 34% above the 5-yr median, with PADD 3 at 48% above normal and PADD 1C the lone region below the median at 11% under.

US propane stocks stood at 81.2 million barrels in the week ended May 22, per EIA's Weekly Petroleum Status Report, running 34% above the 5-year median as build season advances. PADD 3, the Gulf Coast, held 55.0 million barrels at 48% above its 5-year median, accounting for the bulk of the national surplus.

- PADD 1C (Lower Atlantic): 1.1 million barrels, 11% below the 5-yr median (EIA WPSR). The only region tracking below normal as of May 22, a divergence from the broad domestic picture.
- Mont Belvieu propane spot: $0.786/gal, 6% above the 5-yr median, up 0.9% on the week (EIA). The hub holds modestly above seasonal norms.
- US days of supply: 104 days, based on 81.2 million barrels of stock and a four-week average product supplied of 780 thousand barrels per day (Mb/d) per EIA's WPSR as of May 22.
- Propane exports to Puerto Rico: 7 Mb/d in the latest monthly trade figures, 600% above the 5-yr median for that destination. Monthly export data carries a one-month reporting lag.
